About Cella

After graduating from Bosphorus University in 1988, Cella worked in the fashion and textile industry for 20 years. In 2017, she returned to her passion for ceramics, which she discovered in high school through the joy of shaping clay. In a short time, the small workshop evolved into a professional pottery studio. Her biggest goal is to integrate art into daily life. Since 2020 she has been organising workshops to share her knowledge in ceramics and inspire others with her work.

Cella's Ceramics began in 2017 as a small workshop in the corner of our home in Izmir. Over time, our business grew, and Cella's Ceramics turned into a small enterprise. We expanded our workshop to offer training and share our knowledge. We organised workshops in various cities and online platforms and created a separate training platform under the name CCsglaze.

Our inspiration comes from nature: the blue tones of the sea, the earth tones, and the color palette of the seasons.

Our goal is to make art accessible for everyday use.

The symbols of Cella's Ceramics are the scarab and the moth. We designed our symbols hoping they would bring us good luck. Of course, we were inspired by nature, our greatest muse. The scarab, considered sacred in ancient Egypt, represents renewal and rebirth. The moth symbolises the feminine spirit of this enterprise. Moths are symbols of transformation and inner wisdom.
